After our adorable Cinnamonroll Jelly Dessert and the cute Hello Kitty Boba Pancakes, I wanted to balance out the sweetness with something savory and substantial.

This isn't your ordinary burger! It's like a burger and a bao had a beautiful baby! Topped with our homemade sweet and sour sauce, this dish was a huge hit with both the kids and adults at the party. Also this sauce you can use on other dishes, such as meat balls, ribs, or stir fry!!!

Not only was it great for our party, but it's also perfect for breakfast, an exciting lunch option, or even as a hearty addition to your kids' school lunchboxes. It's a complete meal in one handheld package!

2. Prepare the bun batter:

   - Crack one egg into each hole and cook on medium-low heat for a couple of minutes.

   - Gently mix the yolk with a fork.

   - Form small patties from the marinated beef and place on top of each egg.

   - Once the egg is set, flip so the beef is on the bottom.

   - Cook until the beef is done, then remove from pan.

4. Make the burger buns:

   - Clean and re-oil the pan.

   - Pour a layer of batter into each hole.

   - Before the batter sets, add the cooked egg-beef patty.

   - Pour another layer of batter on top to cover the patty.

   - Once the bottom is cooked, flip to cook the other side.

   - Cook until the beef in the center is fully cooked.

5. Prepare the sweet and sour sauce:

   - In a pot, combine water, sugar, vinegar, and soy sauce. Bring to a boil.

   - Add ginger and star anise, cook for 2 minutes.

   - Stir in the cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce.

6. Serve:

   - Brush the sauce on the burger or serve as a dipping sauce.
